In active delivery

One example: the new ticketing app

An anonymized energy and field-services pilot connects ticket capture, manager approval, invoicing, and payment. This is active delivery, not a completed case study or an ROI claim.

Walk through the fictional example

What we do

Practical technology. Built for the way you work.

From the first workflow map to the systems your team relies on every day.

01 / AI workflow consulting

AI workflow consulting for construction, oil and gas, and field-service operations

Map the work with the people doing it. Find the handoffs, retyping, and approval delays worth fixing first.

What we help you do

  • End-to-end map of one workflow, from field to invoice
  • A ranked list of what to automate first and what to leave alone
  • Written in plain English so your ops lead can act on it
Map one workflow with us

02 / Custom app builds

Custom software built around how your crews already work

Custom software that fits your crews, with a defined scope and the approvals and reporting your office needs.

What we help you do

  • Fixed-scope builds with a defined finish line
  • A defined workflow, approvals, and reporting
  • Reporting your back office can actually reconcile
Talk through your app idea

03 / iOS and web apps

iOS and web apps for field crews and the back office

Choose how your team uses the solution: an iOS app in the field, a web app in the office, or both.

What we help you do

  • Phone-first capture with photos, hours, and materials
  • Office web views for approval, search, and export
  • Offline needs assessed for your project
Talk through your field workflow

04 / Governed agents

Governed AI agents with approval gates and full audit trails

AI agents that prepare the work and pause for approval. Each agent only sees the company information it needs, every action is logged, and every decision has an owner.

What we help you do

  • Human approval gates on anything that touches money
  • Scoped permissions instead of open-ended access to your systems
  • A record of what the agent did, when, and on whose approval
Review where an agent fits

05 / AI readiness

AI readiness assessment for companies without an IT department

Know what your data, permissions, and processes can support before you invest. We look at what company information an AI tool would be able to reach and what safeguards belong around it, then give you a practical sequence for moving forward.

What we help you do

  • Honest read on your data and systems as they stand
  • A clear picture of what an AI tool could access, and where to limit it
  • Safeguards worth setting up first: approvals on consequential actions, and a record of what was done
  • A sequence you can fund one step at a time
Get an honest readiness read

06 / Managed AI ops / fractional CTO

Managed AI operations and fractional CTO support for growing contractors

Part-time technology leadership and ongoing support, without a full-time executive hire. Consulting is available on retainer, with no app build required.

What we help you do

  • Monitoring and support for what is already live
  • A technology voice in your leadership conversations
  • Vendor and tooling decisions made with you, not for you

How it works

Review. Build. Manage. Improve.

After the free intro call, agree the right next step: consulting, a workflow review, or a scoped build. Ongoing maintenance and improvements follow as needed.

  1. 01

    Workflow Review

We map one workflow end to end and show you where the hours go.

  2. 02

    Bounded Build

One workflow, fixed scope, shipped and in the hands of your crews.

  3. 03

    Managed Operations

We keep what we built running, monitored, and supported.

  4. 04

    Technology Improvement Partnership

An ongoing partner for the next workflow, and the one after that.

Phone agents

A phone agent that answers when nobody can, captures the caller's details in a fixed structure, and hands a complete job request to a human.

For: Dispatchers and office coordinators at companies where the phone rings more than it gets answered.

Voice data input

A crew member talks through what they did; the workflow turns it into the same structured ticket fields the office expects.

For: Field crews and foremen who need to record work without stopping to type.

Spanish to English translation

Crews report in the language they work in; the office reads and bills in the language it works in, with both versions kept on the record.

For: Bilingual field crews and the English-language back office that bills their work.

AP to billing

Vendor invoices are read once, matched to the job they belong to, and carried through to customer billing without a second round of keying.

For: Accounts payable and billing staff who reconcile vendor costs against jobs.

Before we talk

A few practical answers.

What happens on the first call?

A free 15-minute introduction with Johnny to discuss what you want to improve or build and whether HI is a fit. There is room to talk longer when useful. No preparation or app commitment is required.

Can I get advice without building an app?

Yes. Consulting is available on retainer without an app build. If an app, AI workflow, or agent makes sense, that work can be scoped separately.

Who owns the app and its data?

You own your custom app’s source code and data. HI manages the project during the engagement. If we part ways, the project and its data are transferred to accounts you control.

What does ongoing maintenance cover?

Application maintenance is provided through a monthly agreement. Additional features and modules are outside maintenance and may require a new scope of work.

Will the app work without cell service?

Offline support is assessed project by project. We discuss where your crews work and what must be available without a connection before agreeing the scope.

How do you keep AI from getting into things it should not?

Before anything goes live we go through what company information the AI tool can reach and limit it to what the job needs. Anything consequential, like sending money out the door or changing a customer record, waits for a person to approve it. And the tool keeps a record of what it did, so you can look back. This is practical planning and safeguards for adopting AI, not a formal security audit, certification, or managed IT service.
